Camping: Campground Reservations may be made starting 90 days before the event. NOTE: Call (256)425-3016 to make campground reservations. CAMPING AT THE FESTIVAL SITE IS NOT ALLOWED.
Date: 3 May 2025, rain or shine, unless the weather turns hazardous.
Application and Cancellation Deadline: 16 April 2025; no exceptions will
exist. Festival Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Gates open to the public at 9:00 a.m.
The park closes at sundown, not dark.
Set-Up: Friday, 2 May, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday, 3 May, 7:00 a.m.- 8:30 a.m.
Any vehicle(s) not necessary for your vending (food trucks/trailers, no extra
vehicles) must be moved to the parking area by 8:45 a.m. All tents must be
secured in the event of wind and foul weather. Spaces will be 10’ x 10’. There is no electricity available.
Food Trucks/Trailers: All generators necessary for your operation must be
housed in, under, or behind your primary truck/trailer. Extra vehicles to host your generator(s) are not allowed. There will be no exceptions.
Food vendors: A copy of your 2025 Health Department license must be
submitted with your submission and displayed on the day of the festival.
Takedown: You may begin a takedown at 4:30 p.m. Vehicles may only exit the field after 5:00 p.m. or in an emergency. Emergency exits must be coordinated with the organizers. Running out of product(s) is not an emergency.
INSURANCE: Our festival insurance does not cover you individually. We strongly suggest you consider securing Liability Insurance for the day.
Vendors are allowed one parking pass. If you need to leave early due to an emergency, please let us know so we can safely guide you and your vehicle out of the park.
You are responsible for setting up, manning, and taking down your site.
Please note: the park closes at SUNDOWN, not DARK. This means
they lock the gates until sunrise the next day. We are negotiating with
the state and county to devise a solution to this problem. If you are a no-show, there are no refunds.
Please keep your area clean and return it to the condition you received it.

Liability and Hold Harmless Release:
The Applicant recognizes that participation in the Rocketcity Scottish Festival and Highland Games (RCSF&HG) involves risk of physical injury, including that caused by the negligence of the Participants/Applicants, Madison County, Town of New Market, Sharon Johnson Park, or the RCSF&HG. By signing herein, the Applicant(s)/Participant(s) voluntarily releases, waives, and relinquishes any and all current or future claims against Madison County, the city of New Market, Sharon Johnson Park, or the RCSF&HG for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death occurring to the Applicant(s)/Participant(s) arising out of participation in the Festival/Games, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Madison County, The City of New Market and RCSF&HG from any claim against these entities for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death to the Applicant(s)/Participant(s), to the extent allowed by law.
